Nau Mai haere mai ki Hauturu School
I would like to extend a personal invitation to visit Hauturu School. We are an inclusive school who welcomes everyone from our diverse community.
We are a learning focused school, that ensures reading, writing and mathematics is a priority for teaching and learning. All learning is underpinned by the Key Competencies and deeper thinking tasks are intergrated in all learning. We strive to deliver in education, for all our students, that is comparable with any in New Zealand.
We use values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience is consistently taught as we teach the whole child so they experience academic, social and personal success. Student and whanau voice is encouraged in all areas of learning.
We use our local environment to support learning as well as travelling further afield to experience a wider range of activities. We believe that we are lucky because we get to experience a wider range of activities. We believe that we are lucky because we get to experience the best of both worlds.
I believe Hauturu School is an integral part of the community and we take an active role in community activities. I am privileged to be principal of a supportive school community.

I look forward to welcoming you to Hauturu School,
Nga mini nui
